HOCU (Honolulu Federal Credit Union) hosted its Shred-It Day for community members last month. This was the first Shred-It Day of 2022 and coincided with Earth Day and the end of tax season.
Despite the rainy weather, this Shred-It Day had a wonderful turnout from members and the community. A few attendees even waited as early as 6:45 am for the Shred-It truck to arrive and dispose their documents securely.
The event was a great resource for the community and helped people keep their private information safe. Many attendees were already asking when the next one was, which is always a very positive sign.
“It’s been wonderful seeing all types of people show up for this event, regardless of age or membership,” said Ross Inouye, Senior Vice President of HOCU. “I’ve actually seen a few familiar faces today – many for the first time since the pandemic – and they are so happy to have a safe and secure option to shred their documents.”
Based on the positive turnout from the event, HOCU plans to host their next Shred-It Day for the community later this year. Check out our photo gallery below from the event.
